Danika’s Approach to Bodywork Neurofascial Integration | Clinical Massage | Barefoot Massage My work is rooted in Neurofascial Integration (NFI), a clinical bodywork methodology I’ve developed around a simple idea: your body is an interconnected, adaptive system, and effective treatment starts with understanding how that system communicates. Rather than chasing symptoms or following a predetermined routine, I look at the relationships between your nervous system, connective tissues, muscles, and movement patterns. Where you feel discomfort isn’t always where the story begins. NFI brings together myofascial release, neuromuscular techniques, trigger point therapy, deeper muscle work, assisted movement, and Swedish massage into a responsive, client-led approach. I also incorporate Sarga barefoot massage, using broad, controlled pressure through my feet to deliver fluid, sustained, and precisely directed work. Some sessions are gentle, slow, and regulating. Others are deep, specific, and intense. Many move between the two. What matters isn’t how much pressure I can apply, but how your body responds to it. I don’t believe pain is proof of progress, and I’m not interested in sending you home sore simply to demonstrate that something happened. My goal is meaningful, intentional bodywork that works with your nervous system rather than against it. No two sessions are exactly alike. Every session is informed by clinical reasoning, guided by your feedback, and adapted to what your body needs that day. What You Can Expect * An individualized session guided by Neurofascial Integration principles * A blend of myofascial, neuromuscular, trigger point, movement-based, and Swedish techniques * Sarga barefoot massage when appropriate for your goals and preferences * Pressure ranging from subtle and calming to deep and highly specific * Clear communication about sensation, pressure, boundaries, and treatment goals * Ongoing assessment and adaptation throughout your session What You Should Know * I don’t follow a fixed massage routine or automatically repeat the same techniques each visit * Deep pressure is an option, not a requirement * Gentle work can be highly specific and intentional * Barefoot massage uses my feet as therapeutic tools, not simply to apply more pressure * Your nervous system’s response matters as much as the tissues we’re working with * Your feedback actively shapes the session, and you can change direction at any time This Style Is a Good Fit If You: * Want to explore patterns contributing to recurring tension or movement restrictions * Appreciate a therapist who combines clinical reasoning with intuitive responsiveness * Enjoy deep work but don’t believe massage needs to hurt to be effective * Are curious about barefoot massage or other approaches beyond conventional table massage * Prefer collaborative, goal-oriented treatment over a standardized routine This Style May Not Be the Best Fit If You’re Looking For: * The exact same massage every visit * A strictly relaxation-focused experience without assessment or therapeutic goals * Maximum pressure regardless of how your body responds * A therapist who follows a rigid, predetermined sequence The bottom line: I don’t chase pain. I investigate patterns. Your body is constantly communicating. My work is about learning its language, recognizing its adaptations, and responding with intention. We’ll discuss your goals, preferences, and boundaries before and throughout your session so the work reflects what you’re actually looking for.
